Wanderlust (n.) a strong desire to travel
Welcome to the chaos that is my brain. Hi! My name is Julia (they/she), and I am currently living in Amsterdam, finishing my Master’s degree in Art and Culture. Although from Des Moines, Iowa, in the U.S., I spent my time studying abroad in five countries during my Bachelor’s at Iowa State, immersing myself in International perspectives.
While abroad, I fell in love with traveling and learning about the histories, cultures, and languages of different countries. I have traveled to 15 countries in Europe and North America, and my expertise as a budget-conscious student traveler has taught me how to research and create ideal itineraries, as well as make thoughtful suggestions for those wishing to explore another country.
Along with travel, my other passions include art, reading, philosophy, and especially music; as many of my trips revolve around music, it is an excellent way to center a trip, as music is the core of many cultures and languages.
